Technology is in constant change. As I am writing this someone is creating something new in our global community. The question becomes how to train our students for jobs that haven't been created yet. The answer is to constantly learn and change as the world transforms around us.
I enjoyed “taking” your course on TV Production File Setup and Management, File Setup, setting up Final Cut, and adding media. I was able to follow along and stay interested in your lessons. File Management is especially important for students to learn before they jump into what they consider the “fun stuff” like filming and creating. Your assessments which were setup for success and someday I would like to work with Live Type. Nice job, Louria.
Very Nice work Louria! I myself have never used Final Cut, but learned so much from viewing your tutorials. I am sure that your students will be able to maneuver through the material with ease. I like the set up of your course and also your step by step instructions. You provided a variety of assessment types for your learners to remain engaged in the lesson. I will use your lesson idea to create a similar tutorial for my own students when creating their iMovie video projects. I truly wish I could incorporate more film production in my Science class. Great Job! ; )
Your voice, video, and text directions provide many ways for different learners to feel successful in your lesson. I haven't had much exposure to these programs so I'm excited to try them out myself. I will be using modifications of your idea I'm sure this year as I'm changing from a K/1 class to High school. I think this would be great in a science class! I'd love to hear more of your ideas and experiences. Great activity.
